PAINT ARTIST

      We have the great pleasure of inviting you to participate in the Regional IT/ICT and Creativity Competition "PAINT ARTIST", 4th Edition, 2022. 

     

     The "Paint Artist" project aims, through its activities, to encourage primary school, secondary school and high school students studying Informatics and ICT to improve their computer literacy and creativity by making drawings, posters, flyers / flyers, videos on a specified theme, using Microsoft Paint or Paint for Android, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Microsoft Office Publisher, Movie Maker, etc. or interactive games and art using the Scratch app. In addition to coordinating teachers, partners, students, local community involvement is also sought, with the goal of promoting the correct and efficient use of computer and mobile phones for educational purposes.

Contest rules

This regulation defines the specific framework for the organization and deployment of the PAINT ARTIST Regional Competitiveness and Creativity Contest, 4th Edition, 2022, using Microsoft Paint or Paint for Android, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Microsoft Office Publisher, Movie Maker and the Scratch app.

TARGET GROUP:
Students from: Primary cycle: preparatory classes - 0 - 4th grade (6-11/12 years old)
                            Gymnasium: grades 5th - 8th (11/12 - 14/15 years old)
                            High school: grades 9th - 12th  and vocational education 9th - 11th (14/15 -18/19 years old ).

PROJECT SECTIONS:

 

Section I: DRAWINGS made using Microsoft Paint, Paint for Android or similar apps;

Section II: STORY made using at least 3 drawings (made with MS Paint program or mobile application) and text, saved in a .doc, .docx format (story line in which the drawings will be included);

Section III: POSTERS / PHOTOS, FLYERS designed with Photoshop, CorelDraw or Microsoft Office Publisher, A2 / A3 format;

Section IV: VIDEOS made using Movie Maker. You will add drawings made with MS Paint or Photoshop and text as a short story - Picture composition;

Section V: GAME CREATIVITY AND INTERACTIVE ART using the Scratch application. For this section you can work individually or in teams of two students.

The THEMES/TOPICS for the five sections, regardless of age or level of study, are:

• Section II: THE DREAM HOLIDAY; BE ECO, BE GREEN!; THE VIRUS FIGHTERS / PANDEMIC HEROES; ONLINE SCHOOL - PRESENT AND FUTURE;

 

• Section III: FASHION OF THE FUTURE - CLOTHING ITEMS AND ACCESSORIES, ECO-CITY (ECOLOGICAL CITY); BE ECO, BE GREEN! THE VIRUS FIGHTERS / PANDEMIC HEROES; ONLINE SCHOOL - PRESENT AND FUTURE;;

 

• Section IV: THE DREAM HOLIDAY; BE ECO, BE GREEN!; THE VIRUS FIGHTERS / PANDEMIC HEROES; ONLINE SCHOOL - PRESENT AND FUTURE;

 

• Section V: UNIVERSE: PLANETS AND GALAXY, FASHION OF THE FUTURE - CLOTHING ITEMS AND ACCESSORIES; ECO-CITY; BE ECO, BE GREEN!; THE VIRUS FIGHTERS / PANDEMIC HEROES; ONLINE SCHOOL - PRESENT AND FUTURE;

RULES

Pupils/Students can be enrolled in the contest only by a teacher, by completing a registration form. Each teacher can enroll a maximum of 5 works / sections.

​

Each teacher will send a color scanned registration form and a partnership agreement by e-mail along with the attachments in .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, .png (for Sections I and III). doc, .docx, .pdf, (for Section II), .avi, .mp4 (for Section IV), .sb3, .sprite3 (Scratch 3.0) (for Section V), on the project e-mail address proiectpaintartist@gmail.com for the online registration , between the 1st of March and the 30th of April, 2022.

The stories (section II) will be written / saved in A4, .doc, .docx format. or .pdf, Times New Roman, 12 characters, 1.5-line spacing, including at least 3 drawings made using Microsoft Paint or Paint for Android;

 

The stories must contain the title of the theme but also the title given by each participant to his literary creation.

 

On the upper right corner will be written the name of the student, the class, the section to which he / she is attending, the school /high school and the name of the teacher .

 

Titles will be capitalized (Times New Roman, 14, Bold) centered;

The movie for Section IV can be sent by e-mail or, depending on the size, sent as a link via www.wetransfer.com alongside the rest of the documents.

The Scratch interactive games and art will be sent as a link or attached to email, along with the enrollment documents, on the project email address.

 

Each work subscribed in the contest, regardless of the section, will be named as follows: "name of pupil_class / school_section_tutor/teacher".

 

The submitted works will remain in the possession of the organizing institution.

The authors take responsibility for the originality of the works and respect the copyright rules.

​

Works that do not meet the above requirements will be removed from the contest.

​

No prizes containing objects or money will be awarded. 

​

The contest is free of charge.

Judging:

​

The works will be evaluated according to the following criteria: respecting the theme, creativity, complexity, and for sections II and IV  grammatical and content correctness, as well as originality.

 

Prizes:  Prizes I, II, III and Mention will be awarded for each age / cycle category, in the order of the scores, for each section, as well as special prizes for creativity, imagination and originality.

 

The total number of prizes I, II, III and mention will not exceed 25% of the total number of competitors.

 

The certificates and diplomas will be issued to all the teachers involved in the competition.

 

Being a free contest, no prizes will be awarded  as objects or money!

Program of the contest:

​

• Choosing of the contest committee - February - March 2022;

•  

• Registration of participants and submission of works online and by post mail - 1 March - 30 April 2022;

•  

• Judging the papers/works and displaying winners on the website - May - June 2022;

•  

• Organizing the exhibition with the works received - June - July 2019;

•  

• Sending online Diplomas - June - July 2022;

•  

• Completing the feedback questionnaires - June 2022.

 

Dissemination:

​

- will be done through articles in newspapers, on the project website / school and by organizing an exhibition with the works received at "Octavian Goga" Secondary School in Baia Mare, Romania.
